Obituary of Roger Mason Frey

Roger M. Frey, 89 of Deerfield-Rio passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2010. Roger was born on Sept. 24, 1921, the son of Clara (Mason) and Frederick Frey in Cambridge, WI. He married Ruth Nelson on Nov. 28, 1944 at Christ Episcopal Church, Delavan, WI. Roger farmed for 38 years in London, worked for Larson Canning Company for 12 years. He also drove school bus and milk truck for many years. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Roger enjoyed baseball, softball, bowling, hunting and camping, He was a faithful Badger and Packer fan, Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife of Fort Atkinson; children, Dianne(Larry) Falk of Fort Atkinson, Linda (John) Schroedl of Jefferson, Randi (Craig) Hansen of Kaukauna, and daughter-in-law Debra Olson of Stoughton; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Shari) Frey, Timothy (friend Peg) Frey, Jessica (Aaron) Scott, Rebecca Knutson, Kevin ( Kristi) Falk, Keith (friend Rachel) Falk, Angela (John) Yerges, Jennifer (Jeffery) Kawleski, Nicholas (Shelly) Schroedl, Ryan (Rachelle) Hansen, and Ingrid (Josh) Jones; 29 great grandchildren; sister, Wilma (Robert) Birkrem of Waterloo; brothers, Kenneth Frey of Deerfield, Harley (Ginny) Frey, Dean( Rachel) Frey both of Lake Mills; sister-in-law Mitt Frey of LaCrosse, other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Roger was preceded in death by his son Thomas, grandsons Kurt and Kris Falk, brother Harold and sister Margaret Latsch, other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and will be in our hearts forever. We love you Roger, Dad, Grandpa and Papa. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 302 Merchants Ave, Fort Atkinson WI 53538, with Father Dave Huxley officiating. Burial will follow at Kroghville Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, Nov. 22, 2010 from 4 -7 p.m. at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 1008 Madison Ave, Fort Atkinson or at the church on Tuesday, Nov. 23 from 10: 00 a.m. until time of service.
