Obituary of Richard Sloan Graf

Richard Sloan Graf, 69 of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2010 at his home. He was born Sunday March 16, 1941 to Vernon and Alice (Sloan) Graf in Lake Mills, WI. He attended and graduated from Edgerton High School in 1960. Richard married Beverley Ann Shere December 21, 1968 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Janesville WI. They lived and raised their family in Fort Atkinson WI. He worked for Yeske Construction Company as a cement finisher for over 40 years. Richard loved his hobby farm, woodworking, Nascar, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved very much. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. He was a member of Albion Prairie Methodist Church, Oakland Conservation Club, and the Badger Rabbit Club. Richard is survived by his wife, Beverley, children, Richard (Sandy) Graf Jr. of Fort Atkinson, Julie (Tracy) Rutter of Janesville, Sheree (Eric) Schmeling of Edgerton, and Lisa Graf(Scott Ferro) of Madison; sister, Kathryn (James) Rudnitzki; brother, Douglas (Kristi) Graf; niece Kim (Michael) Spiegler; great-niece and nephew, Courtney and Zachary Spiegler. He is further survived by 6 grandchildren, Aaron Graf, Christopher Graf, Brianna Graf, Hailey Rutter, Matthew Rutter and Baby Schmeling. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Todd Rudnitzki. Richard was dearly loved by his family and friends he will be greatly missed. It gives us great peace knowing he is in the arms of our loving Savior. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15, at Albion Prairie Methodist Church 344 Craig Rd, Edgerton 53534 Friends may call on Tuesday, December 14 from 4 -7 p.m. at the Nitardy Funeral Home 1008 Madison Ave, Fort Atkinson, or on Wednesday from 10-11a.m. at the church. Burial will be at the Albion Prairie Cemetery.
