Obituary of Robin Lee Bavis

Robin Lee BAVIS, age 50, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, went to the Lord�s hands on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. Robin was born to the late Clifford Edward Bavis and Judith Carol (Randles) Bavis on November 19, 1960. Robin worked at Opportunities, Inc. of Fort Atkinson for 11 years and he attended Golden Options of Jefferson, Wisconsin. Robin participated in Special Olympics. He enjoyed music, singing, and riding the yellow bus. He loved his McDonald's, pop, and ice cream. Robin had a contagious smile that warmed everyone's heart. Surviving are: Sisters: Kim (Andy) Schroedl, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Holly (Merz) Nobles, Brother: Mark Merz, an aunt and uncle, cousins, nephews, and nieces, step-relatives, and his care providers Lisa and Wade Root and Family. Robin was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Bambi Bavis and his maternal grandparents. Robin will be missed by friends which he considered family at Opportunities, Golden Options, his group home members: Chris, John, Andy, Chris, Kim and Andy's Adult Family Home members: Alvin, Shane, Jack and Jerry, Care Wisconsin Team Members, and anyone who had the blessing of knowing Robin. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at 1:00PM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Atkinson with Rev. Jerald Wendt officiating. Friends may call after 11:00AM on Wednesday at the funeral home until the services. Memorials may be made to the family who plan on establishing a Robin Bavis Memorial fund.
