Obituary of Frederick John Smalley

Frederick J. Smalley, age 63, of Fort Atkinson, WI (formerly of South Milwaukee and West Allis), passed away peacefully on February 24, 2011. Preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Grace. Loving husband of Sharon for 42 years. Proud father of Michael Smalley (Adriana Albright) and Beth (Jay) Doescher. Cherished grandfather of Katelyn Smalley and Lauren and TJ Doescher. Brother of Grace (David) Dettmann and Judy Porter. Fond brother-in-Law of Mike (Judy) Neary, Ken (Cindy) Neary and Dr. Paul Neary. Fred also leaves behind special friends, Jim and Mickey Millonzi and Jim Lambrecht, cousins, nieces, nephews and many other friends and relatives. Fred was a member of Teamsters Local 200, retiring from ABF in 2000. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially at his place up north where he liked to hunt and fish. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He was thrilled when they won the super bowl! The family wishes to thank all the doctors and caregivers Fred has met along the way in Milwaukee and Fort Atkinson. Very special thanks to Dr. Kerstin M. Stenson and her team of colleagues at the University of Chicago Hospitals. Memorials may be made in Fred's honor to Fort Memorial Hospital and/or the University of Chicago Hospitals. Visitation will be at the Nitardy Funeral Home in Fort Atkinson, WI, on Friday, March 4 from 5:00PM until 7:00 PM with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 pm. �What a wonderful world. . ."
