Obituary of Willard C. Scheel

Willard �Willy� Cedric Scheel, age 88, of Rockdale, Wisconsin, died Friday,� February 25, 2011, at the Don & Marilyn Anderson Hospice Center, in Madison, WI. Willy was born on November 16, 1922 in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin to Paul and Nellie(Severson) Scheel.� He married Betty Hoel at St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church on November 18, 1944. Willy owned and operated the family dairy farm in the Cambridge area.� He enjoyed playing dartball, gardening and tinkering with just about anything.� Most of all he loved to work. �Surviving are: Wife: Betty� Scheel, Cambridge, WI, Son: Gary(Dory) Scheel, Waterloo, WI, Daughter: Cheryl(Mike) Rude, Cambridge, WI, Daughter: Linda(Randy) Nottestad, Deerfield, WI, Daughter-in-Law: Sandy Scheel, Cambridge, WI, Grandchildren; Paul & Ryan Scheel, Brian & Aaron(Leslie) Rude, Dale(Nicole) Nottestad, Kim Nottestad and Jason Ricketts,� Karen Keller, Kristin Scheel, Kelly(Kyle) Kittleson, Karla(Ross) Reedy, Great-Grandchildren; Everett Butzine , Cieara Peters ,�� Mason Reedy� Blake Nottestad, Gracie� Rude,� Kendall and Camden�� Ricketts,� Brother; George Scheel, Marshall, WI Sister, Elizabeth Gjerald, Sherwood, WI., and� Sister-in-law Arlene Scheel , McFarland. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Roger Scheel and a brother Henry Scheel. �Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at 11pm at the East Koshkonong Lutheran Church with Rev. James Schwarz officiating. Burial will take place in the Rockdale Cemetery, located in Rockdale, Wisconsin. �Friends may call on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from 5-8 pm at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 208 Park St., Cambridge, WI and on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the church from 10am until the time of the service. �The family would like to express their appreciation to the UW Barn Center and the staff at Don & Marilyn Anderson Hospice Center.
