Marvin Weakland

Obituary of Marvin Weakland

Marvin G. Weakland, 71, entered into the rest of his Lord and Savior on November 3, 2021, in peace and at his home in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 8 at Nitardy Funeral Home (1008 Madison Ave. Fort Atkinson, Wi 53538) from 3pm to 5pm, with a short service to follow at 5pm.

Marvin was born on March 11, 1950 in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania to Gervase and Naomi Weakland.  The last of ten siblings, Marvin is survived by sister Genevieve Hernandez and brother Robert Weakland. Marvin married his beloved wife, Jody Lake, on November 11, 1994 in Sycamore, Illinois.  Marvin loved tinkering with computers and machinery throughout his working years, and expressed his creative side through music (guitar) and paint. He loved to learn new things through PBS and other programs, and was a devoted follower of his long-suffering Chicago Cubbies.  While Marv had a gentle, introspective spirit, he was always energized when spending time with family, trying to make them laugh with silly “dad” jokes. He loved those close to him well and unconditionally.

Marvin is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Jody Weakland, his devoted son Jason (Christine) Weakland, devoted stepsons David (Karleen), Joseph and Brian Liberto, and 7 loved grandchildren (Connor, Anna, Joshua, Robby, Ella, Colton and Joseph Jr.).

Nitardy Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be made at www.nitardyfuneralhome.com
