Obituary of Brenda Aslin

Brenda Lee (Kast) Aslin, 53, of Cambridge, WI passed away on August 17th, 2021, at Fort Atkinson Health Care Center.

Brenda was born on July 1st, 1968 in Madison, WI to Larry and Georgia (Yelk) Kast. She spent much of her early life in the London and Deerfield areas. She graduated from Galesville Ettrick Trempealeau High School in 1986. She went on to become a CNA at Skaalen Nursing Home. She married Jason Aslin and they resided in Madison for 20 years before settling in Cambridge.

She was a member of the 4-H club and enjoyed farm life and horses. She loved to spend time with her family and socialize with her friends. Whenever there was a Dallas Cowboys or Wisconsin Badgers football game on, she was watching. She was fond of the little things in life; like getting ice cream at Frostie Freeze, shopping, and family dinners. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Jason; her children, Jordan (Maggie) Hale of Sun Prairie, Christopher (Tammy) Hale of Madison, Shanna Hale of Whitewater, and Cheyenne Hale of Sun Prairie; her grandchildren, Adam, Joseph, Addy, Damian, Elijah, Christopher, and Ziva; her brother, Laurel “Howard” Kast; and her aunt, Shirley Buckmaster.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Georgia; her paternal grandparents, Pearl and Laurel “Pete” Kast; her maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Lyla Yelk; her infant son, Santana Aslin; her brother, Tony Kast; and her uncle, Jim Buckmaster.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to her son, Jordan Hale at 646 Robin Drive, Sun Prairie, WI 53590.

A celebration of life will be held at the London Community Center (N5610 County Road O, Cambridge, WI) on Saturday August 28, 2021. Greeting visitation will begin at 10a.m., with a memorial service at 11a.m. and a graveside service to follow. Lunch will be offered to conclude the celebration.
