Obituary of Laurie Anne Stork

Laurie Anne Stork, resident of Fort Atkinson, passed away at home, at the age of 58 years.  My parents were Wilbert and Clara (Burki) Torpy, they went on ahead of me as well as my in-laws Ken and Helen (Kienbaum) Stork Sr., brother-in-laws Ken Stork Jr and Howard Klug Jr.  I will miss my husband, and highschool sweetheart since 8th grade, Keith Stork, (you know what else I call you).  I will always hold in my heart my children Stacy (Emery) Poole and Alicia (Auntie Brent) Grulke.  I loved being a Grandma to Breely Poole, Kylee Poole, Grayson Grulke and Asher Grulke.  I have cherished being sister to my very, very, very much older brother Jack (Sharon) Torpy, my very, very much older sister Pam (Jon) Punsel and Sister-in-law Sandy (Jeff) Baertschi.  I have loved being an aunt to Richard (Bonnie) Torpy, James (Kris) Torpy, Mary (Rod) Moe, my baby nephew Michael Klug, Mac Baertschi and Ken Stork III.  I also want to include my great nieces and nephews Tyler (Megan) Torpy, Jake Torpy{Fiancee Sara}, Kenzie Torpy, Adam Vaughn, Katie Moe, Conner Torpy, Erin Torpy, Julia Torpy, Nicole Torpy and those who know me as “The Kissing Aunt” Jarica and Alyssa Klug.

The most important thing to me has been my family- being a mother, a wife, a grandma, an aunt and great aunt.  I want you to know that I lived life to the fullest and have no regrets.  This is not the path I wanted to go down, but it was not mine to choose.  I believe God has been with me and guided me. I want to thank everyone who has been on this path with me—including my Sammy’s Restaurant family my Packer family at Vern’s, my Soup’s On buddies, Wednesday night Girls and too many other wonderful people that have come into my life.  My hope and prayer for all of you is to remember my laughter, our funny jokes, my smile and all of our good times together.  Keep me alive always in your hearts and help my grandchildren to remember me.  I am looking down through the holes of heaven even now.  Boys don’t ever forget grandma’s “lap.”

There will be funeral services held on at 12 PM on Monday, April 22, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  A visitation will take place from 10 AM until the time of services.  Interment will take place at Milton Lawns Cemetery in Janesville, WI.

Please no flowers instead make a contribution to St. Joseph School, Fort Atkinson, WI in my name.  Kids were my life.  Let the gift continue.

Special Thank you to the many friends and family for their support and also to Rainbow Hospice.
