Aunt Karen’s passing saddens my heart. I’m sending my sympathies through this note mainly to those that weren’t able to attend Uncle Sigs funeral. I was able to express my condolences to uncle Roger, Becky and Allen.
To Mark, Lisa & all Aunt Karen’s Grandchildren I’m sending a loving caring hug. It won’t help the pain caused by her absence but know I feel your sadness. She lives on in our hearts.
God Bless,
Love,
Lorie

I love to tell this story. After Mark and I got engaged, Karen sat me down and said, "So, what are you going to call me? You could call me mom," but I shook my head and said no, you're not my mom. "You could call me Mrs. Hatfield," but I shook my head and we both laughed really hard and she said, "That's my mother-in-law." And then she said, "Well, you could call me Karen." And I did!
But I also call her my Dear Mom-in-Law Karen. And I will keep doing that every time I tell a story about her or share some advice or even just in my head as I remember something wise she taught me.
