Obituary of Harold Arthur Strasburg Jr.

Harold “Harry” Arthur Strasburg Jr. 72 Fort Atkinson went home to be with the Lord after a short illness on Monday, October 29, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI.

Harry was born on December 3, 1945 in Watertown, WI to Harold and Florence (Kurtz) Strasburg Sr.  He attended Jefferson High School before going to work on the family dairy farm in the Town of Jefferson.  Harry married Janet Smith on June 3, 1972 in Madison, WI.  Harry along with his 3 brothers owned and operated Strasburg Farms Inc. He also worked for Opportunities in their janitorial services department.  Harry loved 1957 Chevys and owned one at one time.  He also was a fan of Elvis, the Green Bay Packers and roller skating.  Harry enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was a member for many years at the Grace Bible Church in Madison.  

He is survived by his wife Janet; children Scott Strasburg, Fort Atkinson, Steve (Heather) Strasburg, Jefferson; grandchildren Clarissa and Joshua; siblings James (Rosemary) Strasburg, Jefferson, Eugene “Pat” Strasburg, Fort Atkinson, Wayne (Sandra) Strasburg, Jefferson, Lynn Strasburg, Jefferson; brother-in-law Rev.Elden (Carol) Smith, Canton, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Roger Strasburg; sister Mary Smith.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1:00pm at Nitardy Funeral Home, 1008 Madison Ave Fort Atkinson, WI 53538.  Burial will follow at Hebron Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00am until the time of the service.
