Obituary of Ruby Lucille Bouma

Ruby L. Bouma age 93 and lifelong resident of Cambridge WI passed away September 17, 2018 at Ohana House in Jefferson.

She was born on February 17, 1925 to Olaf and Jennie (Kohl) Rindahl of Cambridge, WI.  She was married to Cyril “Pat” Bouma in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 2009.

She is survived by her son Mark (Elizabeth) Bouma of Cambridge WI and Smyrna, TN. One granddaughter Mary Michelle Lambert of Smyrna TN, two great grandchildren Justin Lambert of Smyrna TN and Kristin (Chris) Hamelin of Murfreesboro, TN.  She is also survived by four great-great-granddaughters, River Elizabeth Hamelin, Sierra Elizabeth Hamelin, Sophia Ruth Lambert, and Sabrina Lopez. She is also survived by sisters Audrey Kravik, Judith Jacobson, Patricia New and brother John Rindahl. Also numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband “Pat” Bouma, sisters Jeanette Anderson, Dorothy Westoby, Marcella Yago, Geneva Rindahl, and brothers Olaf “Billy” Rindahl, Aubrey “Bubby” Rindahl, and infant twin brothers Walter and Willard Rindahl.

Ruby was a creative and talented homemaker.  Each of her homes displayed beauty, charm, and hospitality.  She was prolific in creating many pieces of crochet and other needlework.  She also assisted her husband in painting many bird woodcarvings.  In addition to her many homemaking skills, she and Pat enjoyed many years of dancing with local friends here and in Madison, WI.
