Obituary of Marion Jean Behling

Marion Jean Behling, 94, Fort Atkinson passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Fort Memorial Hospital.

Marion was born on August 26, 1923 in Fort Atkinson to Alvin and Lena (Schiefelbein) Ebersohl.  She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1940.  Marion married Harvey Behling on November 1, 1941.  He preceded her in death on September 21, 2005.  She and Harvey owned and operated the farm that she was born and grew up on.  Marion enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and quilting.  She also liked to gamble and enjoyed her few trips to Las Vegas.  Marion enjoyed lawn work, feeding her birds, her cats and visiting with her family and friends. Marion made everyone that came to her home part of the family.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Oakland Conservation Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Gene) Klitzkie, Cambridge; grandson, Jeff (Lisa) Behling, Milton; great-grandchildren, Alex and Whitney Schroeder and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son and daughter-in-law Jerald (Mary) Behling; brother, LaVerne “Bud” Ebersohl; sister, Mildred Burrow.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 314 Barrie St., Fort Atkinson, WI 53538.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00am until the time of the service.  As an expression of sympathy you may wish to consider memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church.
