Obituary of Richard Bruce Marshall

Richard Bruce Marshall, age 82, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Richard was born in Hebron, Wisconsin on January 1, 1936, the son of Neal Francis and Roberta (Northey) Marshall.  He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1953. 

Richard served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1953 until 1956.

On January 20, 1956, Richard married Virginia Louise Behselich in Fresno, California. Richard worked as office manager for the Highsmith Company in Fort Atkinson for 20 years before his retirement. After his retirement, Richard worked at R & H Services in Fort Atkinson. He was one of the original board members at Fort Community Credit Union.

Surviving are his wife Virginia of Fort Atkinson; children: Kevin (Sue) Marshall, Fort Atkinson and Jean (Bob Kornell ) Dorsey, Lac du Flambeau, WI; grandchildren: Adam (Molly) Marshall, Fitchburg, WI, Kelsey (Chris) Bahr, Omro, WI, and Amanda (Matt) Cheek, Fort Atkinson; great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Gwendolyn, Adelaide, and Lorelei Cheek, and Hayden Bahr; brother: Ross (Gloria) Marshall, Burlington, WI.  He is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, WI with Father Thomas Coyle officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, WI.

Friends may call at the Nitardy Funeral Home on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 5:00-7:00pm and on Friday from 10:00am until the time of the service.
