I'm so sad to hear about Bobbi. She was a very special person and a great adviser to countless Theatre/Dance students. My life would literally be much different now if I had never met Bobbi. It was sort of a fluke that she hired my friend and I to work in the Theatre/Dance office at the start of our Freshman year. We had both done theatre in high school and thought - sure why not. Little did we know how much Bobbi would become a second mother to us while we were at UWW helping us with all kinds of things over the years. We both worked in the Dept Office all 4 years and later recruited another friend. During my Sophomore year Bobbi suggested I minor in Arts Management - and it was the perfect advice that I needed to focus my education and career plans. I have worked in arts marketing since graduating in 1999 - working for several professional theatres in Milwaukee. I am incredibly grateful to Bobbi for her invaluable guidance and kindness. My deepest sympathies to her family - you are in my thoughts and prayers. -Cara McMullin

When I was a Theatre Major (1998-2003) I worked for several years as an assistant for Bobbi in the Theatre Office. She was so lovely and the best reference any of us had in many ways! My heart goes out to her family and close friends.

So sorry for your loss. Bobbi was the first staff member at UW Whitewater I recall meeting some 20 years ago. And as everyone will tell you Bobbi ran that department and knew everything and always had the answer. My condolences to her family.

Bobbi was a special lady. I met her when I was attending UW-Whitewater. She was kind and patient and just the guiding light I needed when I was uncertain about my future. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

As an alumni of the Theater Department, I can say that without Bobbi's "tough love" many of us would never have graduated. She was your first stop when you screwed up your schedule... and we all knew the Bobbi stare of "just try to surprise me with your excuse". She was loved by the students.

I have never forgotten how when I lived on the same road not far from her. I started out going on Saturdays to help her and her children, clean house, iron, then babysitting or whatever she needed help with. I loved spending time with her and her family. Her children were young at that time and may not remember, but my mom Beverly Hutchison and Bobbi were good friends. I am sorry to hear of her loss. My heart goes out to the family. Thoughts and Prayers are with you all.

Dear Tammy and Ken,
There was a time when Bobbi Jo and I were as close as loving cousins could be. Growing up together, right across the street from each other in Elkhorn, meant we had many laughs and conversations together. I can still hear her voice and laugh in my head. We were very close in age, I'm 73 now, and so we had much in common in those days. One of those things we had in common was being part of a larger Ferguson family that were very supportive and loving. We learned that lesson well as Bobbi continued that legacy by becoming supportive and loving of her family too. She was so much in love with Paul, which I remember well and her loneliness after his death. I am the cousin who was "lucky" enough to drop her wedding ring as her bridesmaid. It rolled a considerable distance and I was shocked, but Bobbi always got future laughs out of the memory. As we live in New Mexico now, I will not attend the funeral, but Bobbi will always live in my precious memories. Mary
