Obituary of Dean Louis Werner

Dean L Werner, 67, of Janesville passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. 

Dean Louis Werner was born on October 23, 1950, the son of Francis and Ruth Werner.

Dean graduated from Johnson Creek High School in 1968, then went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he received a master’s degree in English and Journalism.

He was a corporate executive employed by several Fortune 500 Companies including Newell Rubbermaid; his career spanning 30 years before retiring and starting Rock Graphics & Signs, Inc. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, storytelling, talking about politics and being a grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene, son Nathan (Shannon), daughter Deanna (Peter Riggs) and three grandchildren James, Helaina and Harrison (Riggs).  

He is also survived by his brothers Dale (Marianna), Ted, Ned (Mary), Kent (Danelle), Stan and sister Darla (John Mueller).  He is also survived by numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, uncles and baby brother.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 1008 Madison Ave. in Fort Atkinson, followed by a service at 7 p.m.
