Obituary of Gail F. Channing

Gail F. Channing, age 65, of Whitewater, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at her home. Gail was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 13, 1951, the daughter of Gilbert William and Frances Agnes (Kuklinski) Wendorf. She resided in Milwaukee, Cambridge, and Whitewater, WI. Gail graduated from Cambridge High School. On September 9, 1999, Gail married Patrick Charles Channing in Jefferson, WI. The date specially chosen knowing Pat's forgetfulness. She made sure that would not happen. Gail worked for 20 years at H & R Block in Whitewater and Fort Atkinson before starting her own tax business, Whitewater Tax Service. Gail enjoyed going to casinos, golfing, skiing, traveling, and attending the Kentucky Derby for many years. She had a love of cooking and was an avid Packers fan. Go Pack Go! Surviving are: her husband Patrick Channing, Whitewater, WI; daughter Kimberly Luttrell, Cambridge, WI; stepchildren: Andrew Channing, Whitewater, WI and Melissa Steffen, West Allis, WI; sister Robin (John) Jarlsberg, Cambridge, WI, a niece Lisa (Aaron) Wilke, Waterloo, WI and a nephew Kyle (Kirsten) Jarlsberg, Oconomowoc, WI., and two great nieces and three great nephews. Gail was preceded in death by her parents and an infant nephew Lance Wendorf Jarlsberg. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00PM on Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 550 N. Newcomb Street, Whitewater, WI. Friends may call after 5:00PM on Monday at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, WI until the time of the services.
