Obituary of Michael John Stevens

Michael John Stevens, 65, Fort Atkinson passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Michael was born on March 3, 1952 in Madison, WI to Raymond and Charlene B. (Browning) Stevens. He attended Central High School in Madison. Michael married Nancy Keeper on August 29, 1980. Michael was employed at Havill Spoerl Ford in Fort Atkinson for 24 years in their parts department. He was an avid Fort Atkinson Generals baseball fan and Jones Park was very important to him. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, listening to music and recently took his first flight in a hang glider. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Morgan (Michael) Charlton, Madison, Meredith (Steve Siegel) Stevens, Fort Atkinson, Alec (Megan) Stevens, Stevens Point, WI; grandchildren, Braden Hausen, Aureleon and Aquilo Charlton, Sawyer Stevens; father Raymond (Mary) Stevens; siblings, Janet Stevens, Madison, Tom (Mimi) Stevens, Madison, David (Wei Han) Stevens, Madison, Patricia Blum, Madison, Carol Stevens, Appleton, WI and special friend, Darlene Noggle, Madison. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene "Bernie" Stevens and sister, Jean "Beanie" Stevens. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 1008 Madison Ave, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538 from 3:00-5:00pm. A celebration of Michael's life will follow at the American Legion Post 166 in Fort Atkinson.
