Obituary of Anna Marie Leija

Anna Marie Leija age 46 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday October 23, 2017 at her home in Whitewater, WI. Anna was born on March 23, 1971 in Fort Atkinson, WI to Sharon Gallob and Gil Leija. Her early life was spent in Jefferson, WI and Elkhorn where she graduated from Elkhorn High School. She worked at Opportunities (25 years) of Fort Atkinson, WI working first in plant 1 and moving up to plant 2. She also worked at Captain's Steakhouse in Fort Atkinson. Anna always look forward to and was excited going to work at both places. Anna enjoyed traveling extensively with her friends, camping, going to dances, movies and going out to eat, especially to McDonalds. Around home she enjoyed gardening, doing yard work and spending time with her beloved cat Linus and dog GEO. She enjoyed the many activities she did with her family. Anna had a smile that could light up a room. Anna is survived by her mother Sharon Gallob of Janesville, WI Father Gil (Tina) Leija of Beloit WI. 3 uncles Michael, Robert, and Donald Gallob and great aunt Mary Hrobsky. Anna is further survived by her foster parents Joseph and Dianna Montalto of Whitewater, WI 3 sisters Jamie Melik, Christina LaHann, and Cailee Montalto, and her brother Joseph Montalto. Loving boyfriend Jason Williams and his family and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Elizabeth and Joseph Gallob and Arlene Montalto. A visitation will take place on Friday October 27, 2017 from 12-2pm at the Nitardy Funeral Home 1008 Madison Ave Fort Atkinson, WI with a service to follow at 2pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Atkinson, WI following the service. Special thank you to Marquardt home Health and Hospice for their loving care of Anna and her family.
