Obituary of Carol Ann Barfknecht

Carol A. Barfknecht, age 78, of Edgerton passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Edgerton Hospital. She was born August 3, 1939 in Edgerton, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Bernice (Hageberg) Robert Anderson. Carol graduated from Cambridge High School and attended Business College in Madison. She worked in Edgerton for Dr. Reitz Dental Offices for many years. In 1961 Carol married Richard Barfknecht at East Koshkonong Lutheran Church. They later had two children. They enjoyed family trips including snowmobiling, polka festivals and camping. Her survivors include her husband of 56 years Richard, Edgerton; their children Steven (Heidi Derendinger) Barfknecht of Cambridge and Amy (Kevin) Richter of Oklahoma; two grandchildren Rachel Richter and Ryan Richter. Carol is further survived by her sister Sue (Tom) Kohl, Dousman, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017, 11:00 am at East Koshkonong Lutheran Church with Pastor Brenda Lovick officiating. Family and friends will be received at the church on Monday from 10:00 am until the hour of service. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Nitardy Funeral Home, Cambridge is assisting the family with arrangements.
