Obituary of Marvin J Coy

Marvin J Coy age 94, of Cambridge WI., passed away Sunday November 19, 2017 at his home. He was born October 12, 1923 in Viola WI to Melville and Prudie (Parr) Coy. His early life was spent in the Viola and Richland Center Area. He served in the US Army during World War II in the Philippine Islands. Following his time in the service he lived in Cambridge, WI where he farmed then Drove Truck for Vasby Farms. On October 12, 1991 he was united in marriage to Frances D. Chamberlin. Marvin loved watching the Brewers, Packers, and NASCAR (Especially Dale Earnhardt Sr.). He played several instruments including the piano, accordion, guitar, and harmonica. He is survived by his wife Fran, 5 Children Chuck (Linda) of Oregon, WI. Gloria (Dennis) Vergenz of Fort Atkinson, WI. Jeff (Lorna Bruce) of Madison, WI. Melvin of Fort Atkinson, WI. And Marlin of Jefferson, WI. He is further survived by 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. 1 sister Virginia Denman of Lone Rock WI. And Many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Opal, son Marvin "Bucky" Coy Jr, daughter Patricia Labrosse, 5 sisters and 5 brothers. A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday November 30, 2017 at 6PM at the Nitardy Funeral Home 208 N Park St. Cambridge WI. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 4PM until the time of service. A Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will take place on Friday December 1, 2017 at 2PM at the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, WI.
