Obituary of Rosa Lou Marie Peyer

Rosa Lou Marie Peyer, 81, Three Lakes, WI, formerly of Whitewater, WI. passed away on November 29, 2017 in Eau Claire, WI. Rosie was born on January 9, 1936 in Richmond, WI to Emil and Anna (Kreger) Storck. She graduated from Whitewater High School in 1953. Rosie married Gordon Peyer on April 23, 1954. She worked as a telephone operator, waitress and the bookkeeper for Gordy's plumbing and well drilling business. Rosie and Gordy moved to Three Lakes, WI where they purchased a resort and ran it for over 30 years which they named, "Peyer's Paradise". She enjoyed golfing and was proud of her hole-in-one. She also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, snowmobiling, riding motorcycles and square dancing with Gordy. They loved to take day trips and stop for picnics along the way. She is survived by her children, Kathy Pope-Hookstead, Fort Atkinson, WI, Debbie (Mario) Sandoval, Clarkdale, AZ, Vicki (Gary) Hoehn, Altoona, WI, Randy (Jodi) Peyer, Three Lakes, WI; grandchildren, Ryan (Teresa) Pope, Anson (Sarah) Pope, Jasmyn (Brad) Schmidt, Hilary (fiance Jason) Pekoc, Nicole (Troy) Frederick, Megan and Kyle Thornton, Erin Palutsis; 10 great-grandchildren; "Daughter" Teri Ellen Lloyd, Whitewater, Sisters: Phyllis Butke, Genevieve Goehl, and brother Melvin (Judy) Storck all of Whitewater; sister-in-laws, Susan Storck, Fort Atkinson, WI. and Grace Peyer, Whitewater. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brother, Lawrence; sons-in-law, Mark Pope and Dan Hookstead; grandsons, Brad Gordon Pope and Dylan Peyer. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 12:00pm at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 550 N. Newcomb St., Whitewater, WI 53190. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery in Whitewater. Friends may call at the Nitardy Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00am until the time of the service.
