Obituary of Nancy Kay Ahlert

Nancy Ahlert, 75, Fort Atkinson, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at her home. Nancy was born on March 24, 1942 in Madison, WI to LaVerne and LaVona (Hamilton) Miller. She graduated from Madison East High School in 1960. She married Robert Crane on September 9, 1961. Nancy married Kenneth Ahlert on December 27, 1980. She worked for many years for MPI in Deerfield as a machinist. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren. She loved watching Packer and Badger Sports, playing bingo and loved getting her hair and nails done by Jody Allard. She was a wonderful cook and liked to take trips up to the cabin. She is survived by her children, David (Marilyn) Crane, Fort Atkinson, WI, Kathy Anderson, Lowell, WI, Lisa (Brian) Wethal, Sun Prairie, WI, Rob (Stephannie) Crane, Watertown, WI; grandchildren, Bryon (fiancé Ashley) Crane, Trent Gilbert, Zachary Svendsen, Clay and Hope Wethal, Brady Crane; brothers, James Miller, San Diego, CA, Steve (Janice) Miller, Denver, CO; and special friends; Robert Crane, Avery and Sharon Nofsinger and Laura Moench and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneth Ahlert, brother, Robert Miller, Son-in-Law, John Anderson, sisters-in-law, Phyllis Miller and Mary Miller. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 314 Barrie St, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538, with Rev. Bryan Engfer officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Madison, WI. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00am until the time of the service.
