Obituary of Jerina Pandeli

Jerina Pandeli, 97, Whitewater, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Glenwood at Mulberry Glen in Whitewater. Jerina was born on September 20, 1920 in Istanbul, Turkey. Her family moved to the former Yugosloavia when she was a child. She married Novak Pandeli and they had 2 daughters. It was during WWII that her two children preceded her in death. Novak also preceded her in death while she was in Yugoslavia. In the 1980's Jerina immigrated to the United States and made Whitewater her home. Here she owned and operated Novak''s Restaurant. Her sister Bojana and her husband came to the United States and helped Jerina at the restaurant. Jerina's pastime was her work and Novak's, which was named for her husband, was well known in the Whitewater area. She is survived by her sister Bojana and her husband of Whitewater. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 11:00am at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 550 N. Newcomb St., Whitewater, WI 53190. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:30 on Monday until the time of the service. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, WI.
