Obituary of Pauline Kenseth Nurmi

Pauline Kenseth Nurmi, age 75, of Cambridge Wisconsin, passed away on the 9th of December, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. Pauline was born in Madison, Wisconsin on November 30, 1942, the daughter of Edith and Helmer Kenseth. She graduated from Cambridge High School. On September 14, 1963 Pauline married Carl Nurmi at Willerup United Methodist Church in Cambridge WI. Pauline's nursing career spanned over 20 years, in a diversity of fields. While working and raising a family she completed her RN degree in 1978. Pauline finished her career as Director of Nursing for Willow Brook Nursing Home. Her compassion for the sanctity of life was demonstrated by her desire to care for patients at every level of her nursing career. Pauline was deeply passionate about those activities that she chose to pursue. While living in California she purchased a canary to brighten up the house, leading to her becoming involved in the National Gloucester Assoc. and being a certified judge traveling the country judging bird shows. When her nephew became involved in racing, she pursued his career with similar passion - never missing a race, attending in person when possible by touring racetracks while on vacation. She shared her love for the Packers with every game, even while being married to a fervent Cowboy fan. Pauline had an abiding love of the natural world and considered God's creation her chapel and her most intimate connection with the divine. Pauline was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and caregiver for all those she touched. Surviving are her husband, Carl Nurmi, Cambridge; daughter Regina Caggiano and her husband Ernie, Woburn MA; son, Kevin Nurmi and his partner Jennifer Feyerherm, Madison WI; sister, Gloria Zimmerman and her husband Jack, Franklin, NC; brother, Roy Kenseth and his wife Lorrie, Ormond Beach, FL; brother Eldon Kenseth and his wife Sue, Cambridge, WI; brother Wayne Kenseth and his wife Chris, Janesville, WI; sister, Colleen Kenseth, Cottage Grove; sister-in-law, Kathleen Condon and her husband James, Janesville, WI; one grandchild, Ashley Caggiano, Woburn, MA.
