Lois I. Kraehnke, 86, Jefferson, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Blackhawk Senior Residence in Fort Atkinson, WI.
Lois was born on November 19, 1931 in Milton Township to Edward and Emma (Fox) Kraus. She married Harold Kraehnke on October 10, 1953. He preceded her in death on December 4, 1975. Through the years she worked for Thomas Industries, Schweiger Industries and Hamlin Corp. Lois enjoyed camping, fishing, dancing, baking, going out to eat, gambling and picking strawberries. The thing she loved most was spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Kevin (Debbie) Kraehnke, Fort Atkinson, Kurt (Sue) Kraehnke, Jefferson; grandchildren Ryan, Jason, Chad and Stephanie; great-granddaughter Kenzie; Sisters Marjorie Landowski, Jefferson, Peg Richardson, Milton, Delores (Earl) Topel, Lake Mills; several sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; sisters Lucille Pollock, Isabelle Genke, Ione Blum, Mildred Bartels; brothers Allen, Lyle, Walter and Claude Kraus.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 11:00am at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, WI 53538. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
